Moray’s Great Places
As part of the large-scale partnership project, Moray’s Great Places, Moray School of Art worked with artists Lynda Buchan, Morag Smith and Rachel Jutkova to create new work in response to our local area; its stories and environment. This exhibition was due to open and tour the region in May, but circumstances meant this wasn’t to be.
This digital Culture Café event will provide an opportunity to hear and see from the artists about their process and what they produced through individual showcasing; there will also be a short group discussion, initiated by Stacey Menzies-Toner of Moray School of Art, and including the three artists and project mentor, local sculptor Mary Bourne. To finish, there will be an opportunity for questions and open networking.
Open and accessible to anyone with interest in regional heritage and culture, we look forward to sharing the beautiful and thoughtful pieces created as a result of this collaborative exploration. As we will all be at home, please come along comfortable with mid-morning refreshments – we recommend oatcakes with butter!
