Let’s Get Social!

This Culture Café is hosted by Circus Artspace in collaboration with the Highland Culture Collective with a focus on artists’ socially engaged and participatory practices. The event coincides with the UHI’s Art and Social Practice MA Winter School in Inverness and Circus Artspace exhibitions CIANALAS and TERRAFABULATIONS (29 March – 2 April).

The evening will focus on artists working creatively and collaboratively with communities in the Highlands. During this informal event, you will have the chance to: 

• see the current exhibitions at Inverness Creative Academy, 
• enjoy a buffet style dinner, 
• meet new people,
• participate in a series of provocations and group discussions around artists’ practices.

The event will begin with a reception in the Gym Hall, allowing attendees to view two exhibitions by the Circus Artspace Graduate Associate cohort. We will then move to the Assembly Hall for the main part of the evening to enjoy a meal and conversation.

The event is free, however, registering is essential as places are limited.

– meet in the Gym Hall (side entrance off the car park) to see the Circus Graduate Associates’ exhibitions, followed by dinner in the Assembly Hall. Please note there are limited car parking facilities.
