Culture Café – Health and Wellbeing

Cedarwood is a day centre for adults with learning disabilities and a lovely, inspiring space for reflecting on making creativity accessible to all.
Framing the evening with CHIME (Connectedness Hope Identity Meaning and Empowerment) to stimulate conversation, inspiration will come from Moray Wellbeing Hub CIC and a lightening talk by Frank Hayes from ‘For Enjoyment: Accessible arts for all’,* a successful social enterprise from Dumfries and Galloway that brings together people of all ages and ability.
Food will come in the form of ‘Emotional Eats’ providing a selection similar to that of pop-up cafes MWH have hosted in the past; with a range of sweet and savoury, vegan and meat, gluten free and highly decorated there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Note: There is no licence for alcohol for this venue, but the hosts hope to make up for any disappointment in this with caffeine and sugar for those that wish to enjoy these.
Free but booking is essential to help with catering numbers.
* Frank’s talk will follow a community taster session earlier that day for people to try For Enjoyment’s approach. There is also a training for trainers development in Frank’s approach on the 12th October. Spaces are for Moray Wellbeing Hub Champions, but anyone is welcome to join this social movement if they sign up to the shared values. For details visit MWH’s Eventbrite page here.
